T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 2 Available October 12

This morning, Samsung officially announced the last set of details surrounding the relatively enigmatic T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 2, which we have been following pretty closely. First up, Samsung has for a second time officially confirmed that the T-Mobile variant includes a 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm SoC by making note of it in its press release, with the line:
Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with 1.5 GHz dual CPUs
In addition, DC-HSPA+ 42 Mbps support is still also officially on the spec list. We can also round out our table with the last of the details of all three USA-destined SGS2 variants. Interestingly enough, the T-Mobile variant also has quad-band WCDMA support, including the 850/1900 bands that would make it work on AT&T in the states. The reason for these bands being included is apparently to add support for Telus, which supposedly uses the same hardware.

One of the most surprising things is that the T-Mobile variant now officially includes NFC support, and will launch running Android 2.3.5. The device will go on pre-order October 10, then for sale at select stores and dealers October 12. The Galaxy S II is expected to cost $229.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement.

Benchmarks of the Snapdragon S3 Processor vs Exynos??The entire internet is waiting for Anandtech to do its magic!!! Nowhere else on the internet is as trusted with this information!

I was pretty much dead set against the T-Mo/At&t merger, because at least one year after the merger goes through, most T-Mo phones won't work with At&t's 3G (this is also one reason why I'm still using my SE TM506, it uses both T-Mo's and T's 3G bands), but the T-Mobile SGSII (I thought I've seen it listed as the SGS II X) is honestly a phone I am really interested in buying...16GB internal storage + microSD and a 1850mAh battery are pluses in my book.

I have been hearing the mali400 with the exynos soc is a beast. But for some reason think the adreno 220 with the snapdragon will be comparable or even better. The mali400 is 3 year old technology by now. And qualcom has been taking huge strides in the gpu field. Please break this down anandtech, I know the gpu's operate differently but some benchmarks would be appreciated. My guess is the snapdragon will beat the exynos hands down, but the gpu performance will be virtually even with the mali400 winning some benchmarks and the adreno winning some benchmarks. My Nokia N900 just died and i need to get a new phone. i am looking heavily at the SGS2, but with it literally being a different phone that the others but carrying the same name i would like to see how it actually compares to the phones on the market. If it offers the same level of performance i can see springing for it, but if it doesn't then i will just wait until they release a T-Mo variant that does and i will get by with something else for now. Could you please do a review comparing the performance of them all?
