While I was out at CES a truck came by and dropped off all 11 Matteo seats from Salamander Designs. I ordered these a few weeks ago and right now they're sitting in my garage. I'll be ordering carpet for the theater next week and hopefully I can get an electrician in then as well. Once those two get taken care of I'll be able to unpack these seats and start setting them up.
If you look at the original renders of the theater you'll see that I've got two rows of seats: 5 in the front and 6 in the back. The seats were also originally supposed to be microfiber. I asked all my friends if they'd rather me make the back row 3 sets of two chairs instead of 6 individual seats, I also asked about microfiber vs. leather.
Interestingly enough, every single male friend I asked responded: 6 individual seats in the back row and microfiber. And every single female friend responded: row of loveseats and leather. There were a couple of exceptions in both categories, the more platonic the female friend the more likely they were to respond with 6 individual seats in the back row.
You'll have to wait for the unboxing to find out who I ended up siding with... :)
