Benchmarking is coming along

Off to sleep early for that 8AM but we've got two new benchmarking titles already under the belt after around 4 hours of work. Once the benchmarks were done it was actually kind of exciting; it's nice to see results from something other than the usual crowd of benchmarks.

I know there's a great demand for DX9 tests, unfortunately there are very few (good) DX9 titles out there. Right now we're focusing on the more popular games, some of which have "DX9" on the box and others which don't - but obviously none of them (even the "DX9" titles) have the shader complexity of Half Life 2.

I've got a three hour break between classes tomorrow, so Derek and I will be back at the lab working on more tests. We've got less than a week for this review so we'll be cramming in as much benchmarking time as possible into the coming days.

Have a good night everyone, I'm off to sleep.

The "lab" sounds fairly interesting. Are there any pics up of it? Would you be willing to post some pics to make all of us drool over are monitors?

::puts a bib around neck in hopes of pics::

In the review of the Samsung 172T LCD monitor, you had talked to Samsung about them releasing monitors with lower than 25MS response time, incorporating and developing DCC (Dynamic Capacitance Compensation) for their monitors. Any info on when they'll release a monitor with this technology? Or has there been released a monitor with this tech. already?

I haven't checked out the Aquamark 3 benchmark yet, but I guess it could be an option? (Unless it's crap. I'll have to try it today)

    Less than a week, eh?

My guess is that Tuesday, September 30, will be a big day!
