Corsair Releases The New Ironclaw RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse

Adding to their ever-growing range of PC gaming peripherals, Corsair has unveiled its Ironclaw RGB wireless gaming mouse. Similar to its predecessor, the Ironclaw RGB, the new wireless variant adds its Slipstream Wireless technology and features an 18,000 dpi optical sensor.

Performance wise, the Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless mouse features the same PMW 3391 sensor as its wired counterpart and allows users to push the sensitivity all the way up to 18,000 dpi. Dotted all around the mouse is a total of ten programmable buttons which can be customized through the Corsair iCUE software; the three customizable RGB lighting zones can also be altered within iCUE. The Ironclaw RGB wireless also makes use of Omron Japanese switches which are tested to a high standard and are rated at 50 million left and right clicks.

Notably, despite being called a wireless mouse, Corsair's Ironclaw RGB wireless mouse is actually designed to cover both the wired and wireless worlds, thanks to its tri-mode connectivity options. For wireless connectivity, the mouse can be used with the included Slipstream wireless USB dongle, or via standard Bluetooth. Otherwise, a 1.8-meter braided cable is included for wired use.

Of the three modes, the wireless USB mode is essentially the preferred mode, as this implements Corsair's Slipstream Wireless technology. This tech allows for low input lag gaming thanks to a sub-1 ms response time, and further incorporates Corsair's Intelligent Frequency Shift technology, which monitors the connection and automatically uses the most reliable wireless signal it can.

Going under the hood, the Ironclaw RGB wireless gaming mouse includes a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, which in wireless USB mode Corsair says will last 16 hours with the RGB LED lighting enabled, or up to 24 hours without. Meanwhile, in Bluetooth mode users can expect nearly twice the battery life, with up to 30 hours with RGB lighting, or up to 50 hours with the lighting off completely.

The palm gripped Corsair Ironclaw RGB wireless gaming mouse has an MSRP of $80 and is available through most major retailers.
